FAQs

  • Absolutely! We have and will continue to train with many different breeds and sizes. We don’t discriminate, and firmly believe that every dog deserves the opportunity to train.

  • While you are more than welcome to request a specific trainer, each of our trainers have areas of specialty that allow us to match you with the perfect trainer based on your dog's behavior concerns.

  • Our initial consultation is an opportunity for our trainers to gather all of the information they need to develop a clear customized behavior plan, as well as review management strategies and exercises to implement before the first in person working session. While we would love to do this in person, we've found that switching to a virtual consultation allows our trainers to take thorough notes, show videos, share documents more efficiently, so that we can have everything we need in preparation for our first working session with you and your family.

  • We never utilize aversive tools such as e-collars, prong collars or choke chains. We follow a positive reinforcement based training protocol.

  • Behavior change can never be guaranteed. Our trainers will be open and transparent in helping you and your family set realistic expectations and what it would take to meet your unique training goals.

  • It depends! Every dog is different, and we will be open and transparent with you along the way in regards to what that path to behavior change looks like for you and your dog(s).

  • That’s okay! For scheduling purposes, we recommend booking one of our packages of working sessions, but this is not mandatory. You are also not tied to any number of sessions, and this can be changed at anytime. Your trainer will be able to give you general idea of recommended sessions per your training goals.

  • While we don't have anything against board and train programs, we feel the most successful progress takes place alongside the owners. The people are learning just as much as the dogs are, so for us it is critical that the family be a part of the training program.

  • We recommend training to begin as soon as possible! Our puppies have a small socialization window we like to take advantage of to help shape our puppies into the most confident adult dogs!

  • We offer a quarterly Reactivity Group class called The Big Feelings Club and intermittently offer a variety group classes. Reach out today to see our availability and upcoming classes.

  • Virtual training! We have worked with many clients through a behavior modification program virtually and effectively!

  • Through our behavior modification program, our promise to you is that we will provide you and your dog with the tools and guidance to make progress with your dog's behavior. There is unfortunately never a guarantee when it comes to behavior change, but we will work with you and your family to set up realistic goals for your dog and set clear expectations throughout the training process.
